MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Sept. 18, 2023) -The American Water Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization established by American Water, the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., recently announced five organizations in communities served by Pennsylvania American Water were awarded a total of $92,550 in Water and Environment grants.
"Environmental leadership is a core value of our company, and we demonstrate this daily through our efforts to protect sources of drinking water and our continuous reinvestment in water and sewer system upgrades," said Pennsylvania American Water President Justin Ladner. "These grants provided by our charitable foundation to nonprofits in the communities we serve demonstrate our ongoing commitment to clean water, healthy communities, and educating our next generation about the importance of environmental stewardship."The Water and Environment grant is part of the American Water Charitable Foundation's Keep Communities Flowing Grant Program, focusing on three pillars of giving: Water, People and Communities. Below is a list of grantees throughout Pennsylvania.
