The Spanish detachment consists of approximately 150 soldiers (pilots and technical personnel) and eight F-18 Hornet aircraft. Over the next four months, it will conduct NATO-led enhanced Air Policing Missions, together with the Romanian Air Force soldiers.
The joint Air Policing Missions contribute to developing the reaction and deterrence capacity, as well as to strengthening the interoperability between the Romanian and the Spanish Air Forces.
