Event Wrap: RIPE 80

APNIC participated at RIPE 80, held for the first time entirely online, from 12 to 14 May 2020.

RIPE 80 welcomed a daily average of 1,300 unique viewers, to hear from speakers on topics including routing security, IPv6, and the impact of COVID-19 on network operations. View the program for more information.

APNIC activities:

  • Geoff Huston presented on 'Buffers and Protocols' at the Plenary session, discussing the complexity of modern-day TCP/IP and how it interacts with network devices, and end-to-end with buffering and backoff.
