Parking Rules During the Junior All Native Tournament

The Junior All Native Tournament (JANT) starts this weekend, and we are very excited to welcome so many athletes and their supporters to Terrace for this event!

If you are coming to our facilities for JANT or other activities, please be aware that both the Sportsplex and Terrace & District Aquatic Centre will be very busy from March 17-22 while the tournament is underway, along with at least a few days before and after that.

Please take note of the parking map and park in the following locations noted in green:

  • 2 main parking lots at the Sportsplex/TDAC
  • Sportsplex overflow lot (also used for bus offloading/loading)
  • Market Street (where the Farmers Market sets up)
  • Co-Op property (follow Kalum Street south to the end)

If parking at the Sportsplex/TDAC: Please do not park alongside the roadways leading up to these parking lots, even if there is no yellow curb. Especially when our facilities are busy, it is of utmost importance that emergency vehicles can access the facility, and parking along the road compromises safety-not to mention there are also fire hydrants and emergency exits that must remain unblocked. Those found in violation of these parking restrictions may be towed.

Please take the extra minute to park a little further away to help us keep everyone safe during what is likely going to be one of the busiest weeks Terrace has ever seen! JANT is providing parking attendants during the event to help organize traffic, so please obey any directions you receive to help you stay safe.

Please follow JANT 2024 on Facebook or visit their website for event schedules and updates. Thanks for being mindful of your parking etiquette during this exciting week of basketball in Terrace!
