City of Boulder releases new “Let’s Talk Boulder” podcast episode

The newest "Let's Talk Boulder" episode, focused on child-friendly cities, is now available for download, stream and listen. Child-friendly cities are communities where all kids feel safe and cared for, while being able to express their opinions and influence decisions that affect them.

The episode features youth voices, youth-focused non-profits and city staff, as well as folks who are directly connecting with young community members. It also highlights local work toward Boulder's recognition as a United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Child Friendly City. The goal this initiative is to identify and prioritize action steps and mobilize the community to improve young people's health and well-being. In Boulder, this work will be co-designed with young people, including historically underrepresented children and youth.

"When we make our communities better places for children and youth, we make them better for everyone," said Communication and Engagement Director Sarah Huntley. "We all need to think about how our actions and our work, from how we design our infrastructure to our climate change resilience efforts, will impact future generations."

"Let's Talk Boulder" is a City of Boulder podcast that explores our community, one conversation at a time while examining topics that impact the Boulder. Future episodes will dive into topics such as the role of trees in community, volunteerism and the energy grid. The podcast is available on major listening platforms, including Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
