Acting Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov hosted UNICEF Representative in Uzbekistan Munir Mamedzade

Today, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Head of United Nations Children's Fund Munir Mamedzade in Uzbekistan.

M.Mamedzade highly appreciated the large-scale reforms implemented under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The parties agreed on the importance of further cooperation to ensuring the social protection of children, improving the health of mothers and children, developing preschool and school education, and enhancing the healthcare system.

Special attention was paid to partnership between Uzbekistan and the UNICEF in providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan. The UNICEF representative noted the key role of the International Multifunctional Transport and Logistics Hub in Termez in the delivery of goods to Afghanistan.

The sides considered proposals on the organizational aspects of upcoming joint events at various levels and formats.
