TYHA Hosts Unforgettable Inland Networking Tour, Sponsored by Dura Composites

On Wednesday 20 March 2024, The Yacht Harbour Associationwas thrilled to host an unforgettable Inland Networking Tour, made possible by the generous sponsorship from Dura Composites.

The 62 participants, including British Marine TYHA Members and invited guests embarked on a journey through three marinas: Aquavista Sawley, Mercia Marina, and Lakeland Leisure Barton Marina.

The day began on a delicious note with a spread of bacon rolls and croissants, setting the perfect tone for what lay ahead. At Aquavista Watersides & Marinas Sawley Marina, guests were treated to a tour showcasing the remarkable Waterlodge UK Ltd floating lodges, followed by an enlightening presentation from Steve De Pollo.

The convoy then led the group to Mercia Marina, where Robert Neff, Partner & General Manager, graciously guided everyone through the marina, showcasing its fantastic facilities. Dean Fullerfrom Dura Composites shared insights into its innovative dura decking and environmental initiatives as well as a demonstration of a decking install.

Rich and the team at the Boardwalk Bar and Grill hosted a delightful networking lunch overlooking the picturesque Mercia Marina, adding a touch of culinary delight to the day.

The journey concluded at Lakeland Leisure Estates LtdBarton Marina, where Mark Morgan provided an introduction to the Lakeland Leisure Group, followed by a tour led by Marina Manager, Mike Little. The day reached its perfect finale with coffee and cake at the charming onsite café.

Beyond the scenic beauty and informative presentations, the day fostered invaluable connections within the industry. It provided a platform for meaningful discussions, idea sharing, issue raising, and industry dialogue.
