Work continues to replace escalators at downtown San Francisco stations

The Market Street Escalators Renovation Project continues with three escalators being replaced in this current round of work (see table).

The south side entrance to Montgomery Station at the corner of Market & New Montgomery (in front of the Sheraton Palace) is closed for construction through mid-2022. The station's north side escalator at One Post Plaza is also closed during construction, while the stairwell at One Post Plaza remains open.

While work continues at Montgomery St. and Powell St., crews are beginning preparation work to replace a platform escalator at Embarcadero Station beginning this spring.
