HOP ON Senior Transportation Updates

Every May, The Center at Founders Village Senior & Community Center celebrates Older Americans Month (OAM). The Center at Founders Village commemorates OAM to encourage and recognize the countless contributions that older adults make to our communities. The 2024 theme is Powered by Connection, which recognizes the profound impact that meaningful relationships and social connections have on our health and well-being. Starting May 1, 2024 and continuing through June 30 2024, the City of Fountain Valley will be waiving the $2 co-pay for riders. There will be no limit to the amount of times that participants could schedule rides.

But wait, there's more!

The City will offer corridor trips to popular destinations outside of the program's service area. There will be no limit to the amount of times that participants could schedule rides to each of these corridor destinations. However, staff will re-evaluate after 30 days to make any necessary changes to the program, if necessary. Corridor Destinations are listed below:

  • Downtown Disney (1565 S. Disneyland Dr. Anaheim, CA 92802)
  • Huntington Beach Pier (325 Pacific Coast Highway Huntington Beach, CA 92648)
  • Huntington Beach Central Park/Library (7111 Talbert Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92648)
  • South Coast Plaza (3333 Bristol St, Costa Mesa 92626)

Please note that these changes are just for the months of May and June, and the program will restore to its original program guidelines starting July 1, 2024.
