Males Arrested In Early Morning Operations, Kirklees

Police have executed early morning warrants and made arrests in a swathe of activity across Kirklees today.

Enquiries remain ongoing by the Kirklees District Crime Team after officers executed arrest warrants in Dewsbury and Huddersfield this morning (Tuesday April 23) in an operation targeting serious organised crime.

Two males aged 18 and 17 were arrested in Huddersfield with an 18-year old male arrested in Dewsbury.

All of the males remain in custody for questioning today by detectives.

Officers conducted the operation as part of an ongoing investigation into a robbery on Bromley Street Hanging Heaton on March 25 in which a delivery driver was robbed at knifepoint.

The victim was not injured in the incident, which took place at about 8,25am and ended when suspects fled with property.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Holmes of the Kirklees District Crime Team, said: "We are holding three males in custody after executing early morning warrants as part of an ongoing investigation into last months armed robbery.

"I want to thank all those who have assisted with the investigation so far and advise that we are continuing to appeal for footage, information and witnesses to the offence on March 25.
