The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of a homicide investigation.
On Thursday, March 28, 2024, at approximately 10:46 p.m., police responded to a call for sounds of gunshots in the Finch Avenue West and Dufferin Street area.
It is reported that:
- officers located a dark coloured SUV with multiple bullet holes to the vehicle
- a man was located outside of the vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound
- the man was later pronounced deceased at the scene
The victim has been identified as Alexander Vinogradsky, 39 of Thornhill.
Anyone in the area of Finch Avenue West and Dufferin Street, between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., who may have dash camera footage or any other video, is asked to contact police at 416-808-3200, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or at www.222tips.com.
