Green Bay Transit Commission to announce temporary fare reduction

The Green Bay Transit Commission is set to announce a temporary fare reduction for the remainder of 2023. Public transportation has seen many changes in the past three years. Ridership continues to climb, but the Transit Commission wants to send the message… RIDE GREEN BAY METRO!

Over the past three years many safety precautions have been put in place, expanded service hours, increased frequency, and implemented an additional mode of transportation, GBM On Demand. Many additions are also set for 2023: new customer interface and digital bus stop signs, which will include audio announcements for the disabled. The Green Bay Transit Commission will be utilizing CARES funding that was received through the pandemic for the "RIDE GREEN BAY METRO" promotion. As these economic times continue to be a challenge, the Transit Commission wants riders to know we are here to meet the community's transportation needs.

Details will be announced at the press conference.
