Boeing Donates $100,000 to Support Tornado Recovery and Relief Efforts in Louisiana

ARLINGTON, Va., April 18, 2024 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] is committing $100,000 from the Boeing Charitable Trust to assist with recovery and relief efforts following the recent tornado in Slidell, La. Funds will be directed to the Northshore Community Foundation's Weather Relief Fund to provide supplies, assistance and resources to those most affected.

"Amidst the devastation, we extend our support to those enduring this terrible hardship," said Cheri Carter, vice president of Boeing Global Engagement. "Boeing is committed to working alongside local partners to provide meaningful assistance that will help expedite healing and recovery."

"Northshore Community Foundation, in partnership with Boeing, is dedicated to helping our Northshore neighbors who are working to rebuild following the storm. Their contribution to our efforts in the disaster relief space is deeply appreciated and represents a commitment to our region," said Leslie Landry, president and CEO of the Northshore Community Foundation.

In addition to corporate charitable investments, Boeing employees give to their local communities by participating in volunteer and charitable gift match programs. Consistent with Boeing employee gift match programs, the company will match qualifying employee contributions made in support of tornado relief efforts.

Disaster recovery and relief efforts in Louisiana align with Boeing's ongoing commitment to the communities where the company has a presence. Boeing employs more than 1,100 people in Louisiana who work on the Space Launch System core stage and Exploration Upper Stage, which will be used to send the first woman and first person of color to the moon for NASA's Artemis program.

Boeing has provided more than $20 million in charitable contributions to Louisiana communities since 2010. In 2023, Boeing donated more than $5 million to recovery and relief efforts globally.
