Traffic Changes Coming to South Staples Street

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - On Thursday, February 2, there will be a traffic switch for the 2018 Bond Project for South Staples Road. Traffic in the northbound lanes will move to the southbound lanes from Baldwin Boulevard to Kostoryz Road. This traffic shift is needed as the contractor moves to the next construction phase.

Traffic will continue to travel in one lane in each direction. The center-turn lane will continue to be closed during this phase of construction. Sidewalks within the construction zone will be closed on the west side of Staples Street.

Safety is a top priority, so motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays, remain aware of the work zone, and follow posted detour signs.
