Public Notice: DBE Goal Methodology FFY 2022-2024

Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments () is committed to engaging small disadvantaged, minority and women-owned business enterprises in all contracts to the maximum feasible extent, and will continue working to ensure the maximum feasible opportunity for these businesses to participate in contracts financed in whole or in part with Federal funds.

The Maine Department of Transportation administers the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise ( program and certifies all s in Maine are in compliance with federal regulations under 49 CFR Part 26. Visit the Maine website for more information.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with US DOT regulation 49 CFR Part 26, the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments (AVCOG) has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE) for disadvantaged business participation in projects funded in whole or in part with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds including consulting, supplies, manufacturing, and service contracts.

For FFY 2022-2024 (October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2024) AVCOG has established an annual DBE participation goal of 0.16% to be achieved through race/gender neutral means. Contractors/providers should examine each element of work on Federally Funded projects for DBE subcontracting or sub-consulting opportunities.
