Biden's Southern Border Invasion Worsens Month After Month
The Biden administration quietly announced this week that another 204,000 illegal aliens crossed the southern border last month. Joe Biden has welcomed and encouraged more than 4.4 million lawbreakers into our country since he took over in January 2021, including 78 individuals on the terrorist watch list. This number does not include the nearly one million lawbreakers who were not apprehended, known as "gotaways." In just two years, Biden has allowed in five times more illegal aliens than the entire population of the greater Tucson area.
On occasion, I receive letters and emails from constituents incorrectly arguing that the illegals crossing the border are fleeing the governments of oppressive regimes. For example, Michael B. recently chimed in with this email:
"Gosar refers to "illegal aliens" illegally crossing the southern border. Both you and I know that the crossings are occurring are by people seeking asylum in the US because they are fleeing the governments of oppressive "regimes" to our south. They are NOT illegal - they are seeking help and you and Gosar are treating them as if they are vermin that need to be exterminated."
Funny how these same individuals always fail to mention the massive national security risk that is a result of Biden's open border policy. How so, you may ask? A recent Department of Homeland Security intelligence report noted that countries including Venezuela are intentionally emptying their prisons and sending hardened criminals, including murderers and rapists, across the southern border.Over 130,000 lawbreakers from Venezuela crossed the border between October 2021 and July 2022. Many illegal aliens lie, and are encouraged to lie, by claiming asylum. Asylum requires government threats of torture or persecution. It is a rare occurrence and very few of the central or South American illegal aliens have a credible claim for asylum.
It in addition to the millions of illegals crossing the border, more than 2,200 pounds of deadly fentanyl and nearly 5,000 pounds of cocaine were seized by border officials in August.
Our southern border is a war zone and fentanyl is ravaging our communities yet Mr. Biden is doing absolutely nothing to stop this invasion.On the contrary, he is encouraging it. The invasion needs to stop and it is going to take the states to do it since the Biden administration is assisting the drug cartels in smuggling the drugs and illegal aliens into our country.
The historic crisis at our southern border was directly created by Joe Biden and his administration's open border, mass releases, halted border wall, and zero enforcement policies. Americans are fed up with Biden's open border policies that are destroying our country.
Gosar Sponsors Legislation Prohibiting Biden from Releasing Illegals into America

Biden's Border Invasion Undermines Legal Immigration
Speaking of illegal immigration, I wrote an Op-Ed that appeared in the Washington Times this week.If you missed it, here is a link and I've pasted it below in its entirety.
The Biden administration recently released data showing nearly 200,000 illegal aliens crossed the southern border in July 2022 marking the seventeenth straight month that more than 150,000 illegal aliens crossed the southern border.
During a recent press conference, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that illegal aliens are not "walking across the border" and further claimed that the Biden administration has "a plan in place" to stop the invasion of illegal aliens rushing our border. Both statements are outright lies.
The Biden administration has no plan to combat this invasion. Each month that passes, the crisis reaches a new level and Yuma, Arizona in my district is ground zero, as hundreds of illegal aliens known as "gotaways" simply walk across the border every single day. Yes, Karine Jean-Pierre, walk across.
Unlike Joe Biden, I have been to the border in Yuma, Arizona many times and have witnessed streams of illegals, guided by human traffickers, wandering across the border. Many merely walk past our overwhelmed Border Patrol agents. In fact, Biden's own Department of Homeland Security estimates that more than 500,000 "gotaways" have walked across the border so far this year in addition to the nearly 400,000 "gotaways" estimated to have walked across in 2021, when Biden's reckless open border policies were first implemented.
The unfortunate truth is that Yuma, Arizona and much of America is under siege because Mr. Biden is actively encouraging the lawlessness taking place along the border. Since Biden and the open border democrats took over in January 2021, they have facilitated an invasion of our sovereign borders of more than 4.2 million illegal aliens. Included in this invasion are terrorists - over five dozen documented so far, drug traffickers, sex traffickers and common criminals.
In response, I introduced H.R. 4643, legislationprohibiting the admission of aliens to the United States for 10 years. Our nation cannot afford to accommodate unprecedented levels of any type of immigration when our porous southern border and broken immigration system work in tandem to prioritize illegal immigrants over legal ones. Those who wait in line, respect the rule of law, and economically contribute to our nation, are undermined by unfettered illegal immigration.Sadly, one of the many deeply troubling consequences of Joe Biden's open border policies is the deadly flow of fentanyl smuggled across the border in record amounts from Mexico. More than 2,000 pounds of fentanyl were seized by border officials in July 2022. That's enough to kill 469 million people, or substantially more than the entire population of our country. U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported a 134% increase in fentanyl seizures last year compared to 2020. Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-45 years old.
Earlier this year, I conducted a roundtable discussion in Arizona about the fentanyl crisis and our open border. Many law enforcement officers attended and heard the gut-wrenching testimony from the families of children who were poisoned to death by fentanyl. We must get tough on those criminals that are contributing to this drug crisis. I recently introduced H.R. 8228, legislation that would punish anyone who knowingly traffics fentanyl with the death penalty or life in prison. These drugs are killing our loved ones and plaguing communities all across America, not just in Arizona. Instead of reducing prison sentences for drug offenders, it is long past time that those responsible for manufacturing or knowingly distributing fentanyl pay a heavy price.
The situation at the southern border is dire.Mr. Biden's open border policies are a welcome invitation to criminals and drug cartels to cross into our country unchecked. Joe Biden refuses to protect the people of America and he has lost the trust of its citizens. It is no wonder states like Arizona are now completing the wall themselves to stop the invasion. Arizonans have had enough and are taking matters into their own hands.Wall Street Tanks Below 30,000
Sadly, thanks to Joe Biden and the democrats' massive out of control spending policies, the Dow Jones Industrial Average sank like an anchor to a new low, falling to 29,590 - the lowest point since 2020.For the year, the Dow has dropped nearly 20%. The Dow was at 30,930 on Biden's first day in office. Let's face it, the Dow would be at 40,000 if Donald Trump was in office right now. If that wasn't sour enough this week, Bank of America forecasted unemployment would rise to 5.6% by the end of next year. Another troubling report this week by the Heritage Foundation shows the average American has lost $4200 in annual income under the Biden administration because of inflation and higher interest rates. Don't expect a recovery anytime soon as Biden's recession, record inflation and out of control spending policies continue to wreak havoc on our wages, 401k's and retirement plans.After Declaring COVID Pandemic Over, Biden Asks for $22 Billion for COVID
Speaking of more wasteful spending, last Sunday during an interview on Fake News 60 Minutes, Joe Biden declared that the COVID-19 pandemic was "over" and the very next day he demanded an additional $22.4 billion in "emergency" COVID-19 relief. Instead of asking for more money, Mr. Biden should end the national COVID-19 emergency and discontinue vaccine mandates for the military and federal employees.It's Mail Time!

We were really surprised to find out that you were reassigned to another district. We shall miss you."

Dear Henry, the Biden administration is perverse. They think children should be allowed to remove their sexual organs and be chemically castrated, losing their fertility forever. Those practices are barbaric and should be outlawed. They believe children should be taught that they can change genders and that it is ok to have two mommies or two daddies. They believe disgusting sexual images too graphic to discuss in this newsletter should be shown to young children. They start young with this perversion because they know that children's brains are so easily influenced and adults would never buy the lies. For goodness' sake, children believe in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus. They have no defense against these evil ideas. Schools that indoctrinate like this should not receive a penny of federal dollars. Really, those who would pollute children's minds in this manner deserve prison. As the Bible says, "whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea."

Dear Lisa and Rene, thanks for sharing opposing views on Ivermectin.Ivermectin has been prescribed by doctors to treat life-threatening infections in humans for 30 years. In fact, two researchers won the Nobel Prize for its discovery. Ivermectin has also shown to be a safe and effective drug treatment in combating COVID-19 and is a potential alternative to the vaccine. In fact, studies in January 2021 found that there is growing medical evidence demonstrating Ivermectin's "unique and highly potent ability to inhibit SARS and suppress inflammation" prompting doctors to prescribe the drug for prevention and treatment in all stages of COVID-19. There is significant amount of peer reviewed research, and one Nobel prize, supporting the efficacy of Ivermectin.
