A number of legislative initiatives authored by Government debated in second reading

A number of legislative initiatives were debated and endorsed at May 17 sitting of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection in the second reading.

The draft law on Amending the Law on Joint-Stock Companies and the related package of draft laws authored by the Government design to reserve the authority to act on behalf of the founder in joint-stock companies to the heads of the regions.

In case of adapting of the draft law on Making Addenda to the Law on Management of Multi-Apartment Buildings and the launch of a unified electronic platform, there will be a tightening up the control over the activity of management bodies, which will have a positive effect on the activity of management bodies. As a result, the management of multi-apartment buildings will be more efficient.

As a result of the amendments envisaged by the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Organic Agriculture and the related package of draft laws, the certification of organic agriculture products consumed in the local market will be carried out through conformity assessment organizations. As a result, it is expected to expand the field of certification of organic agricultural products, to create competitive opportunities in the sphere, to facilitate and improve the certification process, as well as to record and prevent violations of the requirements presented at the phases of the product movement of organic agricultural products.
