Orrick Adds Leading M&A and Private Equity Team in Italy

• Fabio Fauceglia joins Orrick's M&A and Private Equity team in Milan.
• Fabio advises many of the leading private equity investors in Europe, as well as international companies, family offices and entrepreneurs on domestic and cross-border M&A, including competitive auctions, takeovers, joint ventures, and carve-outs.
• He previously led the Italian M&A practice of Shearman & Sterling, where he practiced more than two decades, and joins with a team of six lawyers, including Leonardo Pinta, of counsel, and five associates.

Fabio led the global team that advised General Electric in its $4.3 billion acquisition of the aviation business of Avio S.p.A., from Cinven and Finmeccanica, which was awarded IFLR European Private Equity Deal of the Year. In the last six months alone, Fabio has led M&A and Private Equity transactions for a value in excess of Euro 2 billion.

Fabio is the 4th partner to join Orrick's European platform in the past four months, following the hires of corporate PPA advisor Alfred Weightman and debt financing advisor Mae Morter in London and tax advisor Nico Neukam in Düsseldorf.
