Ontario's Rewind: A Recap of Early 2024

A number of recent project win announcements signifies Pomerleau's role in helping bolster healthcare infrastructure across the province. Addressing the growing need for long-term care facilities, the Macassa Lodge Long Term Care Home project promises to provide essential support to communities in Hamilton. And further north, Pomerleau was awarded the Early Works contract for the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority Redevelopment project.

Three additional projects, two of which are also in the healthcare sector, the Temerty Faculty of Medicine Epic Facility at the St. George campus, the Health & Wellness Centre in the Koffler Student Services Centre and Hart House Infrastructure Renewal, speak to the strength of our relationship with clients like the University of Toronto.

The Ottawa region has been just as busy.

Improvements to several National Capital Commission (NCC) sites including Kiweki Point, Westboro beach, Mud Lake and the Rideau Canal are underway as the city continues its revitalization efforts.

To meet the needs of Ottawa, we are constructing new infrastructure that supports the evolution of the ever-growing city. The Trillium Line Extension was a critical transportation improvement project that saw eight new stations added, as well as the extension and renovation of five existing stations. New projects like the 40 Elgin Senate Fit-Up and the Parliamentary Precinct Redevelopment, aim to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the city's government facilities.

The recently completed Ottawa Community Housing neighbourhood at 715 Mikinak Street, as well as the new development that Pomerleau is building for TCU Development Corp. at 300 Tremblay Rd., are both projects that come during a time when housing is scarce.
