March 1, 2024

LONDON-Adrian Chiodo has joined Covington's London office as a partner in the firm's global private equity practice. Adrian will lead the firm's leveraged finance practice in Europe.

Adrian focuses on cross-border leveraged finance across the full spectrum of capital needs, including private credit, U.S. and European term loan B, general banking, and corporate financings. He also advises on public-to-private transactions, restructurings and post-IPO financings. Adrian's clients include a broad range of lenders, including key participants in the private credit market, along with commercial and investment banks, as well as borrowers, private equity sponsors, and their portfolio companies.

Gregor Frizzell, London-based vice chair of the firm's Corporate Practice, commented: "The arrival of Mark Thompson, who joined the London office in spring 2022, to lead our private equity practice made a sizeable and immediate impact on our EMEA private equity capabilities. Adding Adrian's experience and expertise to the team will further bolster the strength and depth of our offering."

"Growing our private equity practice continues to be a strategic priority for Covington. Adrian will bring his experience in leveraged finance to bear across a range of private equity transactions, and we are very excited to have him join our team," said Catherine Dargan, chair of Covington's Corporate practice.

Adrian added: "I am very pleased to be joining Covington, whose collaborative culture and focus on client service resonate with the professional priorities of my practice. The firm's exceptional strength in heavily regulated industries, such as life sciences, technology, renewable energy and financial services, will be of huge benefit to the clients I work with, and I look forward to further growth of the firm's global private equity practice."

Adrian is a graduate of the University of Sydney, and is admitted to practice in England and Wales, New York and New South Wales, Australia.
