Record Breaking Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

This month marks 37 years since the inaugural Rock & Rock Hall of Fame, one of the most legendary institutions in the music industry. The annual induction ceremony is a mainstay of the music calendar, and for many, induction is an honor. Filled with artists ranging from Nirvana to Eminem, the Hall of Fame celebrates music at its best!

Read on to discover some of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's biggest icons. If you're interested in hearing from its inductees, tune in to Rock and Rock Hall of Fame Radio (Ch. 310)!

Eric Clapton

No list of Hall of Fame inductees would be complete without Eric Clapton. Clapton is the only artist to be inducted three times. He was first inducted in 1992 with The Yardbirds, then in 1993 with Cream, and finally in 2000 as a soloist. It's an impressive feat and one fitting his legendary status!

For more classics from the record-breaking hitmaker, tune in to BB King's Bluesville (Ch. 74).

The Beatles

Mick Jagger inducted The Beatles into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988. Additionally, all four members have been inductedindividually- John Lennon in 1994, Paul McCartney in 1999, George Harrison in 2004, and Ringo Starr in 2015. As a result, they're one of only two bands to have each member inducted separately, the other being Crosby, Stills, & Nash.

If you can't get enough of The Beatles, check out The Beatles Channel (Ch. 18) for more!

Stevie Nicks

The first woman inducted more than once, Stevie Nicks definitely deserves her place on this list! She was originallyinducted with the other members of Fleetwood Mac in 1998. In recognition of her solo work, Nicks was inductedagain in 2019 by Harry Styles.

Tune in to The Bridge (Ch. 17) for hits from Nicks' time in Fleetwood Mac, and classics from fellow inductees, including Eagles and Simon & Garfunkel. (Interestingly, Paul Simon of Simon & Garfunkel is a fellow double inductee!)

Elvis Presley

As one of the founding fathers of rock 'n' roll, it's unsurprising that Elvis Presley was one of the inductees at the inaugural ceremony. The King was also honored elsewhere as well - the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1998 - proving his icon status isn't limited to the world of rock!

Head to Elvis Radio (Ch. 75) for 24/7 content from the King. For more from his fellow inaugural inductees, including Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis, tune in to 50s Gold (Ch. 72).

Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton initially declined her nomination, stating that she didn't feel she deserved the honor. Thankfully, she changed her mind, leading P!nk to induct her in 2022. A woman of many talents, Parton is also an inductee of the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Gospel Hall of Fame, the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, and more!

If country music's your vibe, check out The Highway (Ch. 56), and read more about Dolly's exciting new album here!
