Update: La Ronge RCMP investigating shooting, ask members of the public to report sightings of Drayden Charles

As a result of continued investigation, La Ronge RCMP has charged 19-year-old Drayden Charles, 21-year-old Cameron Ratt and 24-year-old Jaron Halkett, all from La Ronge, each with:

  • one count, robbery with firearm, Section 344, Criminal Code;
  • one count, discharge firearm with intent, Section 244(b), Criminal Code;
  • one count, reckless discharge of a firearm, Section 244.2(3), Criminal Code;
  • one count, aggravated assault, Section 268(2), Criminal Code;
  • two counts, possession of a firearm/ammunition knowingly without a license, Section 92(3), Criminal Code; and
  • one count, unlicensed possession of a firearm, Section 91(3), Criminal Code.

Drayden Charles is also charged with:

  • one count, possession of a firearm/ammunition while prohibited, Section 117.01(3), Criminal Code; and
  • one count, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code.

Jaron Halkett and Cameron Ratt were arrested at a residence on Bird Place the evening of March 18. Jaron Halkett is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on March 28 and Cameron Ratt is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on April 8.

A warrant has been issued for Drayden Charles' arrest and La Ronge RCMP are actively working to locate him.

Drayden Charles is described as approximately 5'9" and 130 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
