XEOS ramping operation in support of LEAP engine MRO

Środa Śląska, POLAND - XEOS, the state-of-the-art maintenance center for commercial engines located in Środa Śląska, near Wrocław, Poland, is ramping up operations and recruitment as the company expands its service offerings.

XEOS is a joint venture between GE Aerospace (through GE Aerospace Poland) and Lufthansa Technik. The JV was initially established to perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) for GEnx-2B and GE9X engines.
With the aviation industry emerging from the COVID crisis, in parallel, XEOS has announced it will begin servicing LEAP engines manufactured by CFM International.

The 35,000 sq. m facility, which began operation in 2019, is one of the most modern in the world and features a repair hall, a training center, and an innovative test cell.

"We are excited to be growing our operations, supporting MRO for LEAP customers around the globe," said Rob Burton, XEOS site leader. "With the aviation sector reaching full recovery, we will be ready to support the ever-growing need for LEAP engine services."

XEOS is actively recruiting technicians and talent in the region, with more than 60 employees currently in place. The company plans to increase that number to more than 100 by next year, when XEOS is scheduled to induct its first LEAP-1B engine.

With Aviation Valley located in south-eastern part of the country and a number of GE Aerospace sites covering the full engine operation, from design through testing to aftermarket support, XEOS adds to Poland's rich aviation legacy and helps complete the landscape, offering the most advanced solutions for MRO.
