Ken Calvert Silent as House Democrats Introduce Legislation to Protect Abortion Access

As women across the country continue to face the brutal consequences of Republicans' war on reproductive freedoms, House Democrats are re-introducing legislation to protect abortion access and restore the protections the conservative Supreme Court ripped away by overturning Roe.

The Women's Health Protection Act will codify the reproductive freedoms guaranteed by Roe v. Wade and ensure women nationwide have access to reproductive health care. In January, when given the opportunity to consider the WHPA, Ken Calvert voted to block the bill from being considered. Now, he is once again refusing to support legislation that would restore freedoms the overwhelming majority of Americans support.
