Rochester Public Music Hosts A Cappella Ensemble Six Appeal for Sound School Capstone Concert

Rochester Public Music will host Six Appeal for a capstone concert as a part of the department's Sound School program. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. on March 16, 2024, at the historic Chateau Theatre and general admission tickets will be available starting February 15.

Rochester Public Music Director Avital Rabinowitz shares, "We are looking forward to hosting Six Appeal for this year's Sound School in local and regional schools. We are especially excited for their public capstone concert in the historic Chateau Theatre, which will be a fun way for the community to experience the energy and sound of Six Appeal!"

General admission tickets will be available here and go on sale Thursday, February 15, 2024. Ticket prices are as follows:

  • Adults - $10
  • Students Ages 13-17 - $5
  • Children Ages 12 and Under - Free

All attendees, even ages 12 and under, must have a ticket to enter the venue.

The program was previously known as Artists in the Schools and was established in 1990. Ten public elementary schools will welcome Six Appeal during their March week in the area. The public capstone concert will conclude this year's Sound School residency.

Six Appeal is an a cappella ensemble and is the two-time global champion of the genre after completing against nearly 200 groups from 16 countries. They have spent over a decade in the industry and have had the opportunity to collaborate with artists Andy Grammer, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, and Thundercat.

Rochester Public Music (RPM) has been the City of Rochester Music Department since 1936. It provides the community with fun and memorable musical events, including Down by the Riverside, FORWARD, Sound School, and Passport Sessions. RPM is a proud member of the MN Arts and Culture Coalition, a collective of arts and cultural centers in Minnesota that have come together to make wonder more accessible for everyone.
