Tinna Rut Hannesdóttir is a graduate student in the MSc Digital Health program at Reykjavik University. She finds the program very exciting, emphasizing user-friendly design where all decisions are made in the user's best interest. I have heard stories from Sidekick users on how our digital solutions have helped them improve their lives and even saved lives in some cases. I therefore have great faith in this sector which is very necessary given the fragility of our healthcare system, long waiting lists and staff experiencing burnout. It seems very clear to me that we need to make changes.

With her studies and work being closely linked Tinna Rut has been able to intertwine her studies into her work and vice versa.

I mostly learned from my studies to always think about the user in everything I do at work. We are not designing for ourselves, but for the user/patient in question, and all decisions must be made with that person in mind. I wholeheartedly recommend the program, as it is very exciting to be in such a new program that you know will have a positive impact on people's lives in the future. You can also feel how excited the teachers are to teach and introduce us to this field
