Police seek dash camera footage in connection to motorcycle collision on Gateway Boulevard

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck that occurred Tuesday evening on Gateway Boulevard.

On April 23, 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a group of motorcycle riders was travelling northbound on Gateway Boulevard near 19 Avenue. One of the riders, a 21-year-old male, who was operating a 2012 Suzuki GSXR600, collided with the rear of a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 being operated by a 21-year -old male.

The rider was ejected from the bike and slid to a stop in an adjacent lane. The rider sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and transported to hospital by EMS.

Speed is a factor in the collision. Both the GMC truck and motorcycle sustained significant damage. The
EPS Major Collision Investigations Section has since taken over the investigation.
