Local 5185 Negotiations Update, May 16, 2024

On May 16, your Negotiating Committee met with high level executive management, including the Chief Financial Officer, to discuss CarePoint's finances.

1. CarePoint continues to struggle financially.
2. Management has still not provided the information we have requested on the deals with HRH and Insight.
3. Management has asked for a contract extension, meaning our contract would go on for another year with no changes. It is being considered.
4. Our next negotiating session is May 29th.

1. May 22, 2024, at 6:00 PM The Jersey City City Council will be voting to support the NJ Safe Staffing Law and ALL HPAE members going into bargaining this year. Please attend and show your support!
