The Tempe Municipal Court invites Tempe school district students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades to take part in the Law Day 2024 art contest. Students can draw, paint, sketch or create a collage depicting the importance of Voices of Democracy. Creativity is a must!

Students can work alone or in groups of two and the deadline to submit is April 15. Visit tempe.gov/LawDay to learn more.

The deadline to submit is April 15 and all entries will be displayed from April 23 through May 5 at Tempe History Museum. Cash prizes will be presented to the winners.

In addition to the art contest, the city is also hosting Law Day at the Library on Saturday, April 6, 1-2 p.m. The event will include learning and fun with Tempe Municipal Court Presiding Judge Kane, who will share more about the 2024 Law Day theme. Students can work on Law Day Art Contest entries with supplies provided by the library, and participate in activities such as J-U-D-G-E BINGO and Wacky AZ Laws Trivia.

Law Day is a national celebration created by the American Bar Association. Every year a theme is chosen to educate students on the American legal system and how it contributes to our freedom. The Tempe Municipal Court takes part in the celebration every year.
