Hurricane Ian is expected to create some potential for flooding as the storm passes east of Norcross and possibly even strong winds. This could result in loss of power from downed trees.

As a Tree City and Platinum Green Community, the City of Norcross highly values sustainability and actively seeks to preserve and protect our community tree canopy. We work with a certified arborist on staff to ensure the health and safety of our trees and community, and, alongside Norcross Power, follow best practices for grooming trees away from the power lines to minimize the risk of outages. However, where there are trees and storms, the possibility for an outage will always exist, and so we've gathered together the following resources to help you in preparation for Hurricane Ian:
