Untreated wastewater released into Salt Creek near 20th and N. Gate Road

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) is issuing a public health advisory following the release of untreated wastewater into surface waters near N. 20^th Street and N. Gate Road. This water flows into Salt Creek near N. 27^th and Fairfield streets.

The release occurred between March 16 and 17. Upon notification, immediate actions were taken to stop the release and address the affected areas. However, LLCHD urges residents to use caution and avoid direct contact with the surface waters near the release site and Salt Creek. Children and pets should also be kept away from the affected waters to prevent exposure to potential contaminants.
