Groundbreaking for Tech Village II at Cape May County Airport Scheduled for April 23

ERMA, NJ - The Cape May County Board of County Commissioners is proud to announce the upcoming groundbreaking for Tech Village II, set to take place on April 23, 2024, at 12 pm at the Cape May County Airport. In partnership with the Economic Development Authority (EDA), this ceremonial shovel in the ground marks a significant milestone in the expansion of the County's Tech Village I, aimed to provide a dynamic and supportive environment for budding new industries to thrive and grow here in Cape May County. The public is encouraged to join the Commissioners and other officials at Tuesday's groundbreaking ceremony.

Commissioner Director Leonard C. Desiderio's remarks on the project stated, "We are thrilled to be breaking ground on this exciting project that will not only support the growth of our local economy, but also foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. By providing a dedicated space for new businesses to connect, collaborate, and innovate, we are laying the foundation for a brighter future for our County."

Commissioner Liaison Bobby Barr added, "My colleagues on the Board and I are grateful for the support provided by Congressman Van Drew and the EDA, which will help reinforce our plan to strengthen our economy through the fast-growing technology industry. This project underscores our commitment to fostering innovation and supporting the growth of emerging businesses to ensure more year-round high paying jobs for our area, and we are very excited for the future of this site."

Representatives from Cape May County and the EDA will be present at the groundbreaking and will speak about the project and its impact on countywide economic development.
