Burin Peninsula RCMP executes search warrant at Marystown residence, two individuals charged

Following the execution of a search warrant at a Marystown residence last night by Burin Peninsula RCMP, 44-year-old Kiley Foote of Marystown and 41-year-old Janice Loder of Grand Bank are charged with criminal offences.

On Wednesday evening, officers entered the home with a warrant to search authorized under the Criminal Code of Canada. Inside the home, three individuals were arrested, including Foote and Loder, and the following items were located and seized:

  • A quantity of cocaine
  • A quantity of illicit cannabis
  • Nearly $2000.00 in cash
  • A quantity of unstamped cigarettes
  • Prescription medications
  • A pellet gun
  • Nunchucks
  • Stolen property
  • Various items consistent with drug trafficking

Both Foote and Loder were released from custody and are set to attend court on August 9, 2023. The third individual was released without charge. The stolen property recovered is linked to recent break and enters in the area.

Foote is charged with following criminal offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession of property/proceeds obtained by crime under $5000
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon

Loder is charged with following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine

The investigation is continuing.
