Bridge Repair Scheduled This Week on U.S. 1 (State Road) North Over Darby Creek in Springfield, Upper Darby Townships

King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that repair operations will occur this week on the bridge that carries U.S. 1 (State Road) Road over Darby Creek in Springfield and Upper Darby townships, Delaware County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Friday, March 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S.1 (State Road) between North Rolling Road and Township Line Road.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Built in 1950, the two-span, steel stringer U.S. 1 (State Road) bridge is 105-feet-long, 96-feet-wide, and carries approximately 29,754 vehicles per day.
