Chula Vista Stormwater System Maintenance

The City of Fort Lauderdale and FG Construction (FGC) will be cleaning the stormwater management system in the Chula Vista neighborhood. Through this project, crews will inspect and clean the system to ensure that it functions optimally, reducing the risk of flooding.

This project will begin on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, and is expected to be completed in May 2024. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

• Limited lane closures are expected as the contractor will be working primarily within the shoulder of the following neighborhood streets: SW 17th Street, SW 18th Street, SW 19th Street, SW 19th Court, SW 30th Terrace, SW 30th Avenue, SW 29th Avenue, SW 28th Lane and SW 28th Way.
• Access to driveways will be maintained.
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
