Help NACC Clear the Shelters This August

NORFOLK, VA - For the sixth straight year, Norfolk Animal Care Center (NACC) is participating in Clear the Shelters, the national annual pet adoption campaign spearheaded by NBCUniversal.

Each year, NACC sets - and passes - a Clear the Shelters adoption record. There are so many wonderful pets at NACC just waiting to meet you and steal your heart, so it shouldn't be hard to keep that record-breaking streak going. But just to make it easier, NACC is offering a Clear the Shelters adoption promotion: $35 for all animals through August 31.

Clear the Shelters is more than a reduced adoption fee. Like many shelters across the country, NACC is operating at full or nearly-full capacity almost every day, and finding permanent, loving homes for adoptable pets is a critical need.

NACC is open for walk-in meet and greets and offers adoption counseling to help you find the right pet for your home and lifestyle. Check out adoptable pets, shelter hours and more by visiting www.norfolk.gov/NACC.

If you're not ready to adopt, there are other ways you can help Clear the Shelters this month and anytime:
