Stormwater Improvements Project in Central Beach

The City of Fort Lauderdale and Southeastern Engineering Contractors, Inc. will be making improvements to the stormwater system along NE 30 Street from NE 32 Avenue to NE 33 Avenue and along NE 32 Avenue from NE 30 Street to NE 30 Court in Central Beach. The work includes:

• installing new stormwater drainage structures
• installing new check valves
• reconstructing the roadway, including paving and site restoration as needed

Construction will begin on Monday, February 13, 2023, and is expected to be completed by mid-March 2023. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

The work will be completed in two phases, beginning with construction activities along NE 30 Street and ending with construction activities along NE 32 Avenue. Both streets will be open to local traffic only while crews are in the area. Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed.

• Access to driveways will be maintained.
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
