DALLAS - Ahead of the traditional summer travel period, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will host a media availability on Wednesday, May 19 at Dallas Love Field Airport to discuss the increase of prohibited items found in travelers' carry-on luggage during airport security screening operations. In the month of April TSA officers at DAL discovered over 40 stun guns and TSA officers at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) discovered over 60 stun guns in traveler's carry-on bags during the security screening process, from Jan. - April.
TSA will also discuss procedural changes that have been implemented over the past several months to help all travelers 'Stay Healthy. Stay Secure.' This information will be helpful for those who have not traveled recently, but are planning to do so during the summer travel period.
