Law Clinic Guarantee boosts LSBU student employability

From this month every London South Bank University (LSBU) student taking our Law (Main) LLB course will be given the opportunity to gain professional work experience in one of our five specialised clinics through LSBU's Law Clinic Guarantee.

The LSBU Law School is the first in the UK to introduce a Law Clinic Guarantee and joins leading global Law Schools, including in the USA and Australia, who give students professional work experience to make them more employable. LSBU was ranked 12^th overall in the UK for Teaching Quality in Law in the Sunday Times 2022 rankings.

LSBU students will be given the chance to gain professional work experience at one of our five Law Clinics:

1. LSBU Legal Advice Clinic - where LSBU Law students provide face-to-face legal advice on social welfare law to residents.
2. LSBU Family Law Hub - a free service for people involved in family legal disputes who do not have a lawyer where LSBU students work with leading organisations to provide legal services, analyse legal issues and liaise with court services and lawyers.
3. LSBU Solutionise - where LSBU Law students get training with a top city firm, Hogan Lovells to advise small to medium-sized businesses.
4. LSBU Legal Policy Clinic - where LSBU Law students work with LSBU Social Science students on Government and Law Commission responses to law reform consultations.
5. LSBU International Human Rights Law Clinic - where LSBU students get opportunities to gain work experience at NGOs and provide advice on human rights law
