Climate-related Information Disclosures based on the TCFD Recommendations

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC; Governor: HAYASHI Nobumitsu) today made its first disclosure based on the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), in accordance with the JBIC ESG Policy released in October 2021.

In October 2019, JBIC announced its endorsement of the TCFD, which was established by the Financial Stability Board (FSB). JBIC also participates in the TCFD Consortium, which was set up as a forum for institutions that support the TCFD recommendations to exchange ideas.

JBIC will proactively contribute toward fostering global sustainable development and resolving global challenges, to ensure the realization of sustainable societies, by actively supporting initiatives that promote decarbonization and the SDGs. Also, in recognition of the importance of reporting on climate-related financial information, JBIC will disclose information to its stakeholders as appropriate.
