Norton Rose Fulbright announces $100,000 donation in support of the Peter A. Allard School of Law Corporate Counsel Externship Program

Norton Rose Fulbright Canada is pleased to announce our support for the Allard School of Law through a $100,000 donation over three years for the law school's Corporate Counsel Externship Program.

Since 2017, Norton Rose Fulbright has been contributing to this program that provides keen educational and hands-on training for students in the legal industry.

"Norton Rose Fulbright is proud to continue its support of the Corporate Counsel Externship, which brings together top legal minds from Vancouver's business and law school communities to give Allard students the unique opportunity to learn directly from experienced corporate counsel and apply theoretical concepts that they have learned in the classroom to practical legal and business matters and be exposed to the variety and complexity of in-house counsel practice," notes Pamela Cyr, Legal Talent Director with Norton Rose Fulbright.

This program enables students to intern in legal departments of various organizations to experience the breadth and challenges that in-house counsel face in their practice supporting business goals. The program allows students to earn academic credit in a real-world setting while making professional connections.

Dedicated to educational and community engagement, Norton Rose Fulbright supports organizations and programs that offer unique learning opportunities for students, enabling them to hone both their theoretical and practical knowledge, all encircled by highly knowledgeable professionals with a strong mentoring spirit.

"I am thrilled that Norton Rose Fulbright has continued to support the Corporate Counsel Externship program. This gift is essential to growing the substantial complement of experiential learning opportunities available to our students. Norton Rose Fulbright's sustained support of this Externship program directly benefits our many students who have an interest in business law and in-house legal work," said Ngai Pindell, Dean of Peter A. Allard School of Law.
