The OECD will present a new Environmental Performance Review of Finland on Monday 13 December. The Review examines Finland's performance over the last decade and offers policy recommendations to help the country to reach its ambitious objective of becoming carbon neutral by 2035 and its aims to halt biodiversity loss and become a circular economy leader. The Review looks at all aspects of environmental policy, from Finland's leading approach to carbon pricing to municipal waste management, with a focus chapter on climate change mitigation.
OECD Environment Director Rodolfo Lacy will present the Review's key findings and recommendations at an online press conference alongside Finnish Environment Minister Emma Kari starting at 15:00 Helsinki time. The event will take place in English.
Working with over 100 countries, the OECD is a global policy forum that promotes policies to preserve individual liberty and improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world.
