Accident Involving IOM Collaborators in Roraima

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received with deep regret the news of a car accident yesterday in Roraima, within the scope of the Operation Welcome, involving five collaborators from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and resulting in the tragic loss of the Brazilian citizen Daniele Milani.

The IOM works in close cooperation with Brazil in providing assistance to migrants, returnees, internally displaced persons, and host communities.

In this moment of profound sorrow, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extends heartfelt condolences to the victim's family and friends, as well as to the Organization, and wishes a full recovery to the injured collaborators.
