ALTOONA, Pa. - 62 students participated in Penn State Altoona's annual Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Fair (URCAF) held Saturday, April 13, on campus.

The fair offers students a chance to share their research projects and other creative activities with the campus community, friends, and family members through oral presentations, poster presentations, and performances in categories including arts and humanities, health and life sciences, internships, business, nursing, engineering, information technology, and performing arts.

"The URCAF is one of the crowning events in which students can showcase the great research and creative activities they have completed with their faculty mentors. Engaging in undergraduate research can be a life changing opportunity, and it was inspiring to see the students' evolution in their projects and their anticipated career trajectories," says Lara LaDage, undergraduate research coordinator.

The Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Fair is funded by the Office of Research and Engagement. First-, second- and third-place winners receive a monetary award. Winners of each category are listed on the URCAF site.
