What can I do in the app?

The app contains information on recovery, health and well-being. It helps clients find suitable services and peer support. Updated this spring, the app now serves Helsinki residents in need of health and social services more extensively than before.

The user can select a topic from the app in which they need change or support. There is information related to both self-help and services. Topics in the updated app include substance use, mental health, physical health, life situation and exercise.

The app makes it easy to monitor the progress of your recovery with your mobile phone by using the calendar or keeping a diary. You can also save photos in the diary.

"The aim of the Helsinki Recovery App is to increase well-being and inclusion. The starting point is that the reliable information gathered in the app helps the users of the app in making choices that support their recovery and in coordinating the services," says Mikko Tamminen, Director of Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Services at City of Helsinki.

"You can use the app when it suits you best."
