REMINDER: Ellis Boulevard NW Extension & Opening of Transit Maintenance Garage — Ribbon Cutting & Open House

The City of Cedar Rapids invites community members to join a ribbon cutting and open house event celebrating the Ellis Boulevard NW Extension and opening of the Transit Maintenance Garage on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 1-2:30 p.m.

Formal remarks will be made at Ellis Boulevard NW and E Avenue, near the roundabout. An open house will follow at the Transit Maintenance Garage until 2:30 p.m. The event will celebrate a major milestone in the Northwest Neighborhood Action Plan, marking the recent opening of the much-anticipated Ellis Boulevard NW connection to First Avenue. This will also be the public's first opportunity to tour the new Transit Maintenance Garage facility, which was made possible in part by the road-extension project.
