Harrell Library to reopen July 13 with new guidelines

Harrell Health Sciences Library will reopen to on-campus students at Penn State College of Medicine on July 13. New guidelines will be in place to ensure the safety of all library users and employees.

Library Guidelines

  • Masks must be worn at all times. See College of Medicine mask guidelines here.
  • Maintain proper social distancing.
  • No food or drink is allowed. See approved eating locations here.
  • Out of consideration for others, each patron should limit time in the library to no more than three hours.
  • Do not remove books from the stacks. Ask for assistance for removal of books.
  • Do not move furniture.
  • Clean and disinfect workspaces upon departure.
  • The library is not a thoroughfare. Those traveling around campus should seek alternate routes to their destinations.

Study Locations

Because study room space will be limited, the library has provided a list of alternative study spaces. These spaces will be open for 24-h0our study when not occupied by learning needs.
