Spring 2024 subscriptions update from Western Libraries

The Western Libraries has finalized the outcomes of the 2023-24 subscription review process. These changes, most of which will take effect on January 1, 2025, are part of an ongoing effort to ensure that the university's portfolio of journal, database, and e-book subscriptions remains dynamic and relevant.  

In winter quarter, the Libraries shared a list of 18 existing subscriptions under review and 8 new subscriptions requested by members of the university community. Based on the feedback we received, we will be canceling a small number of existing subscriptions in order to add a comparable number of new subscriptions to our collection. More information about the specific titles is available on the subscription review webpage. 

The Libraries is pleased to share that several of the canceled subscriptions will still be accessible through library databases like Academic Search Complete, Education Research Complete, and JSTOR. Articles not available on other platforms can be acquired through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
