Thursday, 18 April 2024

With public safety always a Council priority, we're pleased to advise residents it's safe to return to the Killarney Heights shops.

The works required by Council's Emergency Order for 35 Tremore Place, issued on Tuesday 9 April 2024, have been complied with.

Council undertook the cleanup through its licenced contractors to ensure a small amount of bonded asbestos was removed safely. Sample tests were conducted on dust samples and air monitoring. We have now received all required clearance certificates for the area.

This clearance enables shoppers to return to this popular shopping precinct with confidence and support local businesses.

If you suspect asbestos waste is being dumped on private or public land, please call the EPA on 1800 272 378 or Council 24/7 on 1300 434 434.
