Gegham Manukyan: One of problems of society is lack of institutional memory

The NA deputy of Armenia Faction Gegham Manukyan touched upon the latest Azerbaijani provocation during April 14 parliamentary briefings.

Gegham Manukyan responded to the journalist's question that the Head of the Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service was the person who failed Nikol Pashinyan's instructions regarding Tegh village, why he was fired based on the proposal of the Director of the National Security Service, Gegham Manukyan said. "I am neither the lawyer of the former Head of the Border Guard troops, nor the enemy. From yesterday's Q&A session with the Chief of the General Staff I understood that it seems that the official investigation has not been completed, there is reason to think that he was fired to appease the society."

The deputy noted that one of the problems of the society is the lack of institutional memory.

"In 2022, Anna Grigoryan alarmed that the enemy had reached Nerkin Hand village, but today they no longer remember it, it is still under the control of the enemy and for some people it is normal," the deputy added.

Touching upon the topic of two Azerbaijanis found on the territory of Armenia and the killed Armenian guard, the deputy of the Armenia Faction mentioned that it is an extraordinary and shameful case that the Azerbaijani serviceman reached Kapan from Sisian which lasted three days.

Referring to Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) forming a coalition with the Government, the deputy stated that Aghvan Vardanyan was expelled from the party for not fulfilling the decision of the ARF, not for not electing Nikol Pashinyan as the Prime Minister. The ARF took part in the formation of the Government for a short time in 2018, realizing that it is not possible to change the situation, it left the coalition after a few months.

Speaking about the 5^th column, Gegham Manukyan asked the journalists to inquire whether the authorities know what that term means or not.
